Photos From a Downtown Ottawa Trying To Escape Winter

I took a stroll in downtown Ottawa this Saturday, along the banks of the Ottawa River and the Rideau Canal. As usual, I brought my DSLR with me and tried to get a few worthy shots.

This was my first time shooting in RAW format. Not sure if I feel like there was much of a benefit to my shots, seemed to be able to get some pretty good editing done when shooting simply in JPEG. But I’m still learning so I’ll give RAW some time. I think it could really come in handy when editing shots taken at night.

I also tried something new (for me) this time, I shot in Aperture Priority mode, I think it helped.

Here of three of my favourite shots from the day.
